Cowls and cloaks were a very important part of a Viking's wardrobe. Not only did they provide warmth and protection from the elements, but they also served as a status symbol.
They were often made of wool, fur, or even feathers, and they came in a variety of colors, including black, brown, and blue. While most cowls and cloaks were plain, some were decorated with intricate patterns or embroidery.
The most prized cowls and cloaks were those that were made of expensive materials like silk or velvet. Viking cowls and cloaks were not only practical but also fashionable, and they played an important role in Viking culture.

Because most of our clothing and leather products are handmade the color trim may vary from garment to garment. We feel this is a better representation of the Viking Age and prefer to offer you handmade rather than factory garments!
