Orders, Returns & Exchanges

What is your return policy?

We want you happy with your purchase. You have 30 days from delivery to request a return. Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in original condition. Email Chrissy at chrissy@vikingwarrior.org to start the process. She'll take care of it for you.

Once we receive your return, refunds process within 5-7 business days. Refunds go back to your original payment method.

Items with visible wear won't qualify for returns. Same goes for custom or personalized orders unless they arrive damaged. For more information please see our Full Returns Policy.

Can I Exchange an Item Instead of Returning It?

Yes. Exchanges are faster than returns plus reorders. If you need a different size or color, tell us within 30 days of delivery.

We'll send your new item first. You return the original after your replacement arrives. This way you don't go without gear.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Yes, if you catch us in time. Most orders ship within hours. Contact Chrissy at chrissy@vikingwarrior.org immediately if you change your mind.

If your order hasn't shipped, she'll change it or cancel and refund for you. If it's already gone, you'll need to refuse delivery or process a return.

What If My Item Arrives Damaged?

Just contact Chrissy (chrissy@vikingwarrior.org) and she will take care of this for you. It happens rarely, but we will always make sure you get an undamaged order.

It helps us if you can take photos. Damaged items qualify for replacement or refund. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with images.

We'll send a replacement immediately in most cases.

How Do I Know My Item Will Fit?

Size charts matter. Seriously. Compare your chest, waist, and length measurements directly to the chart. Size charts are on every clothing item page.

Our charts use actual measurements from items in stock. Not manufacturer estimates. Not averages. Real data.

Tunics typically run generous. Medieval clothing was looser. Check the chart to see if that works for your plans.

What Sizes Do You Carry?

We stock XS or M through 6XL in many of our best selling clothing items. Plus-size options exist across multiple categories.

Size charts are detailed. Measurements are in inches and centimeters. Compare your own measurements to the chart before ordering.

Different workshops mean sizing varies slightly between product lines. Always check the specific product chart, not just category charts.

What Materials Are Your Clothing Items Made From?

Our tunics and pants come in several materials. We offer a range of linen tunics and pants and wool tunics for a super authentic look.

We also offer cotton blends — typically 60-80% cotton with polyester for durability. These breathe well for outdoor events.

Linen options work great for summer events and reenactments. They're historically accurate and naturally cooler than cotton.

Leather accessories include real hide where applicable. Some items use synthetic leather alternatives. Product listings specify what you're getting.

We source from ethical suppliers. No sweatshops. No exploitation. Just solid gear made responsibly.

How Do I Care for My Viking Gear?

Most wool, cotton and linen items wash in cold water. Use gentle cycle. Air dry when possible.

Avoid bleach. Hang dry or lay flat.

Leather items need different care. Condition leather regularly with appropriate leather conditioner. Keep away from direct heat and excessive moisture.

Colors, construction methods, and materials align with what Vikings actually wore. We research each item thoroughly. No made-up details.

That said, some items are inspired by Viking culture rather than direct replicas. This distinction is clear in product descriptions.

Our pieces are made by craftsmen in several countries. We have spent a lot of time making sure we can offer the best possible quality at fair prices.

At the time of writing our products are mostly made in USA, Ukraine, Nepal, India, China, Spain and France.

How Long Does Shipping Take?

Orders normally ship in 1-2 business days. Most arrive within 2-5 days after that.

Delivery depends on where you live. We're in Raleigh, NC — orders heading west take a little longer than those going northeast.

We ship Monday through Friday. Orders placed on weekends process the next business day.

Will I Pay Import Tariffs or Customs Fees?

Possibly. International customers may face customs duties depending on their country's import laws. We don't collect these fees. Your local customs authority determines what you owe.

Most items pass through without duty charges. Countries in the EU, Canada, and Australia rarely impose duties on apparel. Some nations have stricter rules.

The invoice we include shows actual product cost, not inflated values. This helps minimize duty calculations in many cases.

What Happens If My Order Gets Stuck in Customs?

Customs delays happen sometimes. International packages can sit for 5-14 days while officials inspect shipments.

We can't speed up customs. But we can help. Contact us with your tracking number and we'll investigate. Often customs clears the package within a few days after inspection.

If your package gets held for over 30 days, we'll work on solutions. This rarely happens. Most packages clear within the normal timeframe.

Packaging

Sometimes, we may run out of our custom gift boxes and have periods when the stock for them has not arrived. If a batch shipping day arrives, we will package your order as simply as possible to make sure it gets out to you.
